Sort of Rare Track #5: Last Night (Live Jam Session)

This track doesn't have a name. I'm calling it "Last Night". You can watch the video of Remy jamming out on youtube. I'd like to talk about this for a moment though. I don't know how many of you out there got to see Remy live, but the most awesome part of the show was when he stopped everything and asked the audience "is it ok, if I jam a bit?". He would then come up with lyrics on the spot and improvise the music for 5-10 minutes at a time. The 2 jams I remember most from when I saw him at The El Rey Theater had the lyrics "Send me down the line" and "I can't fake the fire". I remember hoping that "I Can't Fake The Fire" was going to be on his next album. We're all still waiting for that album and I'm still hoping it's on there. Enjoy!

Sort of Rare Track #3: Take A Message (Remix)

I'm assuming this came off one of the import singles for "Take A Message". I found this online about a year after the album came out. The drums and horns on the chorus definitely give the track a different feel. Not a great remix by any means, but Remy's released catalog is so small, I'll take what I can get. Enjoy!

Sort of Rare Track #2: Mai

Ok, here we go again. This is another bonus track on an import version of "The Way I Feel". I think this one came off the Japanese version of the album. This is a really nice jazzy track from Remy, it's an instrumental. Sounds like it was recorded earlier than the rest of the album or maybe at a show, based of the sound quality. Enjoy!

Sort of Rare Track #1: Ripened & Consumed

Ok, well a lot has been said about this track. Some people seem to think it was off the talked about second album. I can tell you, it is not. This was a bonus track on the import version of "The Way I Feel". I think it should've been on all versions of the album. My guess as to why it wasn't? It was probably a little upbeat in comparison to the rest of the album. Oh well. Enjoy!
